[edit] Biography
Wren was born as the daughter of the Princess of the Elves and a Wing Rider. Because of the Elessedil and Ohmsford bloodlines mixing together, Wren was a distant cousin to Par Ohmsford, Coll Ohmsford, and Walker Boh. When Wren was young, her parents decided to return to Arborlon, which lay on the island of Morrowindl. They left Wren a bag of three blue stones, which in reality were the disguised Elfstones of the Ohmsford family. In addition, they made arrangements for Wren to be raised as a Rover, under the tutelage of the deaf and mute Garth. After several years of living with the Ohmsfords in Shady Vale, Wren went to live with Garth.
Over the next several years, Wren became highly skilled in combat, tracking, and other Rover arts, and developed a close bond with Garth. Like Par and Walker, she also received dreams from the shade of Allanon. When Cogline came to collect her, she managed to discover that he had tutored Walker in the use of his magic. With Garth at her side, she came to the Hadeshorn, and received the charge to bring the Elves back to the Four Lands.
To determine the location of the Elves, Wren sought the aid of the Addershag, a seer who told her how to gain aid from a Wing Rider. As she and Garth waited in the Wing Hove, they were attacked by a Shadowen, whom Wren destroyed with the now revealed Elfstones. Shortly after, Wren and Garth gained the help of the Wing Rider Tiger Ty.
Going to the island of Morrowindl, Wren made her way through the dangerous wilderness, encountering help along the way in the form of Stresa the Splinterscat and Faun the Tree Squeak. She and Garth finally found Arborlon, and Wren learned of her true heritage from her grandmother, Ellenroh Elessedil. She and Garth were part of the company that took Arborlon back to the Four Lands, but in the process Wren was forced to kill Garth to save him from becoming a Shadowen. Accepting the responsibility given to her by her dying grandmother, Wren became Queen of the Elves.
Wren led the Elves during their conflict with the Shadowen. She was temporarily captured by a pair of Shadowen masquerading as a Free-born messenger, Tib Arne and his protective War Shrike, Gloon, but escaped with the help of Morgan Leah. After the Shadowen were defeated, Wren committed the Elves to preserving the land as they once had. 130 years later, her bloodline would produce the valiant Elven Prince and later Druid Ahren Elessedil.
