This template is the project banner for WikiProject Yu-Gi-Oh!, and is added to the talk pages of articles within the Project's scope.

The first table below gives a brief, one-sentence description of possible quality scale values. Before assigning any article to a class, please take a few moments and read the full description of the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team's assessment system.

Each article may also be assigned to a particular class, intended as a point-in-time assessment of its overall "quality" - relative to the criteria given in the quality scale which is detailed below. Articles for which a valid class has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unassessed Yu-Gi-Oh! articles.

The following values may be used for the class parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

class=NA This is used for miscellaneous pages such as disambiguation pages, which do not require an assessment (it is recommended that you use additional class values below, though) Non-article Yu-Gi-Oh! pages

Each article may also be assigned a particular importance. Articles for which a valid importance value has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unknown-importance Yu-Gi-Oh! articles.

The following values may be used for the importance parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

importance=Top Major, broad articles such as the franchise itself, the various types of media that it is comprised of (Manga series, TV series, films) and the Trading Card Game, and also the creator Top-importance Yu-Gi-Oh! articles
importance=High Media: Articles on Yu-Gi-Oh! video games, and individual manga volumes. Articles on core characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! fiction, and on major elements in Yu-Gi-Oh! fiction (such as the Millennium Items), and also on cards that are particularly notable in terms of Yu-Gi-Oh! fiction High-importance Yu-Gi-Oh! articles
importance=Mid Media: Articles for non-core characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! fiction, and articles for plot arcs in the manga and TV series
Trading Card Game: Articles on booster sets
