WPOL (The Light), at 1340 AM, plays "Music of the Light--All Day and All Night" in the Greensboro-High Point-Winston Salem area. WKEW, at 1400 AM, airs the same programming.

At one time, this station was known as WAIR, which was a Top 40 station in the 60s and 70s. For a number of years, most of the station's programming was the same as that on 93.1 FM, now known as WPAW. The station changed to its current call letters and gospel format in 1994.
