[edit] "Multidisciplinary"
I seriously question the inclusion of this word in the template. It seems to me to be specifically created for the promotion of the two specific projects recently put on the page of that name. Also, frankly, many of the projects are just as actively "multidisciplinary" as these two. Wikipedia:WikiProject Virginia, for instance, specifically deals with education, military issues, biography, government, and so on, which clearly qualifies it as "multidisciplinary" as well. By seeming to promote specifically these two projects through includion of these words which relate to that particular page of the directory, I think personally that this template is potentially indicating a bias to those specific projects included on that page, which is potentially problematic. There are many other projects which are listed on more than one page as well, which clearly indicates that they also are "multidisciplinary." Also, the Directory is currently in the process of being revised by me to be in accord with the existing categorization of content, and there is a real chance that that page might not survive anyway. I do definitely think that the appearance of exclusivity by using that specific word, when the directory only applies it to two particular projects, might well in some way violate some sort of undue weight guideline. [edit] Re-write
My apologies in advance, but I decided to Be Bold! and partially re-write the template. I fixed some grammar issues and re-wrote some of the clauses. I eliminated the "multi-disciplinary" term and replaced what was there with the phrase "Maintenance WikiProjects" which is what we call it in the first page of the Guide. I'm still not sure what the following means:
Endorse and foster collaboration between the WikiProjects integrating inter-project contacts and editions.
I'm tempted to remove it altogether.
BTW, I used the template too on WikiProject Cooperatives to show support for the team, but I am concerned that this is a form of canvassing--Doug.(talk • contribs) 08:18, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

- I started to re-write the text on the page, following the template, to fix grammar and spelling, I got the examples and gave up. This is what it looked like:
It also provides the basical ways to improve the flow of work in and between projects.
Examples
1.-A new editor finds a project he/she likes and engage in membership. When going to the project page he/she sees (in the banner) that the project actively cooperates with another projects, some of which he/she is also interested. So, the new editor will also join those projects saving the time and effort in going through directories or randomly finding other projects of interest. The banner would have saved time and would have multiplied the helping capacities of the new editor in an instant.
2.-An editor pertaining to a project finds an article which he/she tries to help to improve within the goals of his/her project, however he/she observes that there are also other fields needing improvement, fields which he/she has no expertise and doesn't even know which project may handle that. Simply goes to the banner of his/her own group and chances are that one of the projects listed as cooperating routinely, handles those areas of expertise, now he/she knows who to alert about the help needed.
In both cases time and wandering is spared greatly and inter-projects flow is enhanced
I removed it here because it was unworkable and to me seems pointless. --Doug.(talk • contribs) 08:26, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
OK, I removed it here:
- Endorse and foster collaboration between the WikiProjects integrating inter-project contacts and editions.
It made no sense. The whole template seems kind of pointless to me. It might be more useful if it were set up so that editors on a particular Project could link to Council info, such as the Guide.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 04:41, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
