[edit] Usage

[edit] Nested banner option

Setting the parameter |nested=yes collapses the template so that it's properly aligned inside a talk pages banners shell such as {{WikiProjectBannerShell}} or {{WikiProjectBanners}}.

[edit] Small size option

Setting the parameter |small=yes creates a more compact, right-aligned version.

[edit] Quality scale

The first table below gives a brief, one-sentence description of possible quality scale values. Before assigning any article to a class, please take a few moments and read the full description of the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team's assessment system.

(Also see the Other Template Parameters, in the second table below.)

Each article may also be assigned to a particular class, intended as a point-in-time assessment of its overall "quality" - relative to the criteria given in the quality scale which is detailed below. Articles for which a valid class has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unassessed Brazil articles.

The following values may be used for the class parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Class parameter values (Category:Brazil articles by quality)
Value Meaning Category
Featured article FA Articles which are currently Featured status articles. FA-Class Brazil articles
A A-class articles. A-Class Brazil articles
Good article GA Articles with a current Good article status. GA-Class Brazil articles
B B-class articles. B-Class Brazil articles
Start Start-class articles. Start-Class Brazil articles
Stub Stub-class articles. Stub-Class Brazil articles
NA This is used for miscellaneous pages such as disambiguation pages, which do not require an assessment (it is recommended that you use additional class values below, though). Non-article Brazil pages
Non article class parameter values (Also Category:Non-article Brazil pages)
Value Meaning Category
List For lists. List-Class Brazil pages
Template For templates. Template-Class Brazil pages
Category For categories. Category-Class Brazil pages
Disambig For disambiguation pages. Disambig-Class Brazil pages
Image For images located on Wikipedia (NOT the ones on Commons). Image-Class Brazil pages
Portal For portal pages. Portal-Class Brazil pages

[edit] Importance scale

Each article may also be assigned a particular importance; for Brazil related articles, we make a ver simple use of this. Articles for which a valid importance has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unknown-importance Brazil articles.

The following values may be used for the importance parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Class parameter values (Category:Brazil articles by importance)
Value Meaning Category
Top Major, broad articles like cities, mayor topics, or important people. Top-importance Brazil articles
High All actual articles on the history of any Brazil-related topic. Also articles about ethnic groups in Brazil. High-importance Brazil articles
Mid Other articles that are likely to be of general interest (for example, an article about the theatrical traditions of Brazil). Mid-importance Brazil articles
Low Articles that are not about Brazil and are not likely to be of general interest (for example, a building that houses an organization); also disambiguation pages, which do not require an assessment. Low-importance Brazil articles

Anyway, exceptions can be considered if necessary.
