Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse or WOCN is a clinical nursing specialty that involves the treatment of patients with acute and chronic wounds with evidence based practice as well as ostomy patients, who have had some kind of bowel or bladder diversion. The latter area of expertise covers bladder and bowel control and the associated skin care issues. [1]
