Worthington is a civil parish within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, in Greater Manchester, England, about 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Wigan.[1] The parish is very sparsely populated (population of 135 according to the 2001 census), and apparently does not have an active parish council or parish meeting.[2]
It used to have a dyeworks and a colliery. It comes under Standish and its local Anglican church is St Wilfreds. It is also the home of Worthington Hall.
