Wortegem-Petegem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the villages of Elsegem, Moregem, Ooike, Petegem, and Wortegem. On January 1st, 2006 Wortegem-Petegem had a total population of 5,977. The total area is 41.96 km² which gives a population density of 142 inhabitants per km².
