The World Sufi Festival takes place in Glasgow, Scotland. Bringing together performers and artists from around the world it is a colourful celebration for all the family. More information is available through the web site.
Wend your way through the bazaar; sample the food; visit traditional stands from many countries, enjoy the art on display and the performances of music dance and poetry. If you enjoy mela and finding out about other cultures this is a festival for you – for the whole family. There is something for everyone.
It aims to capture and project positive messages that have been around for centuries in the east and west. Arts, culture and heritage are at the heart of the programme.
There is a diverse programme of activities for children. Participating in this programme is Creative Art Works.
Sufism is a mystical way of life, which emphasises respect for all religions. It crosses cultural and religious boundaries and plays a part in the lives of many people across the world. The festival helps us to better understand where we have come from and what we have in common.
It is organised by the Association of Poetry and Music Glasgow.
