World Concern

World Concern - non-profit organization of christian origin, providing development and relief assistance for needy countries. Established and based by Wilbert Saunders in Seattle, United States.

The mission is declared to provide life, opportunity and hope to suffering people around the world with the motivation found by love of Christ.

The Agency operates in Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Central Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East, North Africa. The activities are mainly focused on: agriculture, disaster and emergency relief, education, HIV/AIDS, refugees and displacement, rural development.[1]

World Concern is a member of the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development Organizations (AERDO).[2]

The staff is about 900 permanent workers and 450 volunteers in different countries. By its own statement, the organization served 5.5 million people in 32 countries in 2006.
