World Clown Association

The World Clown Association (WCA) is a worldwide organization for clowns and clowning. It holds an annual convention, mainly in the United States.

Herb Metz was the main instigator in establishing the World Clown Association. The first WCA convention was held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1983. In 1987, the WCA established the first scholarship fund for clowns. In 1991, the first non-US convention was held in Bognor Regis, England.
