World Association of Nuclear Operators

World Association of Nuclear Operators is an international organisation founded in 1989 after the Chernobyl accident to foster international cooperation and professional excellence within the nuclear industries.

The WANO operates four regional centres in London, Paris, Moscow and Atlanta.

Besides conducting seminars, exchange programs and peer reviews, the evaluation of operating experience is a main field of activity.
