Workforce regions of Indiana

Workforce regions are areas defined by those at IU's StatsIndiana resource as groups of counties that often have the same economic background. There are 12, according to the resource. Workforce regions are not represented as a government in any way and are simply economic distinctions.
- Region 1 (Northwest): Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, Starke, Pulaski
- Region 2 (North Central): St. Joseph, Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall
- Region 3 (Northeast): LaGrange, Steuben, Noble, De Kalb, Allen, Adams, Wells, Huntington, Whitley
- Region 4 (Mid-Northwest): Benton, Warren, Fountain, White, Tippecanoe, Montgomery, Caroll, Clinton
- Region 5 (Mid-North Central): Fulton, Cass, Miami, Wabash, Howard, Tipton
- Region 6 (East Central): Grant, Blackford, Jay, Madison, Delaware, Randolph, Henry
- Region 7 (West Central): Vermillion, Parke, Putnam, Vigo, Clay, Sullivan
- Region 8 (Central): Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Morgan, Johnson, Shelby
- Region 9 (Southeast): Wayne, Rush, Fayette, Union, Decatur, Franklin, Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio, Switzerland, Jefferson
- Region 10 (Mid-South): Owen, Greene, Monroe, Lawrence, Brown, Jackson, Bartholomew, Jennings
- Region 11 (Southwest): Knox, Daviess, Martin, Gibson, Pike, DuBois, Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, Perry
- Region 12 (South Central): Orange, Crawford, Washington, Harrison, Floyd, Scott, Clark
