Word of Honor is a 1985 novel by Nelson DeMille. The title refers to a pledge spoken by the main character in Vietnam.

It is about a man who served in the Vietnam war as a platoon commander. During the Battle of Hue, his men carried out a hospital massacre, and years after the wars end, when the event comes to light, he must face the consequences of his actions.
