An emerging group of people-—significant both in terms of economic power and political influence—-who have achieved financial success and share a common set of values. They are characterized by a strong work ethic, a desire to stay active, and a commitment to giving back to both family and the communities in which they live. Though many continue to work in income-producing jobs, others are pursuing a personal passion or dedicating time and energy to philanthropic causes. Many have achieved their wealth within their lifetime, and remain middle-class at heart, though their success may put them in the ranks of the lower upper class [1].
