[edit] OHSAA championships
I am removing the cross country championship, as it is credited to 1967. Kilbourne's first senior class was the class of 1992.
- Removed the cross country championship again. Worthington won at least 15 state titles in various sports prior to Kilbourne's existence. List all, or list none. 151.188.16.62 17:47, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- You are correct, for some reason 16 other pre-1991 OHSAA titles are credited to Thomas Worthington. Perhaps the 1967 cross country one should be too? Thomas Worthington HS was known just as "Worthington HS" back in the day? EagleFan 19:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- When I was at Kilbourne back in the 90's, I was always under the impression that the history of "Worthington High School" stayed at Thomas Worthington. As far as athletic title are concerned I personally believe NONE should be added that were not exclusively won by Kilbourne. Phimu222 12:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- This is getting absurd . . . How do you credit a school with winning a title that was awarded 25 years BEFORE the school even existed??? Whoever is continuing to put up the '67 XC championship and crediting it to Kilbourne, please stop. Do one of the following: A) List ALL of the championships won at Worthington HS and credit them to Kilbourne, or B) Add NONE (my choice). Technically the high schools "split," but in reality Kilbourne was a new school with a new identity - its sports teams should follow the same. Phimu222 21:02, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notable Attendees
Jordan Gafford —- Great athlete who received varsity letters in football, basketball, and track. Attending Miami (OH) on a football scholarship following his stellar gridiron days at WKHS. This reads more like a self-promotion than an encyclopedic artice. Also, many Kilbourne alumni have participated in college sports and received scholarships - list them all or list none.
Nate Yelic -- Horrible WoW player with 1200 (or lower) personal rating in 2s. Currently attends the school. Concidered possibly THE worst wow player at kilbourne due to the lack of Endless Rage and Knowledge of his class.
[edit] Plans to improve?
Any opinions on how to best improve this article? It's barely a stub at this point.--JD79 16:26, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- Best option would be to have a current student (or a former student still in the Worthington area) do a little research on the school's history and why a second high school was needed. Phimu222 12:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
