Talk:World Future Society
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The reason why this article shouldn't be deleted is because it is not about a person, group of people, band or club; it's a page about a society, a non-governmental organization founded in 1966 as a nonprofit educational and scientific organization in Washington, D.C., with some 25,000 members in more than eighty countries around the world. Also, there are other articles referring to the Society, so to make things more complete this article is needed. The source is the World Future Society itself.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Teykal (talk • contribs)
The article is informative and contains a list of useful references. I disagree with the note that it is blatant advertising, as the article seems to contain basic facts about the society, rather than marketing hype or spin. --CatS (talk) 00:43, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Removing memetics category
I am removing the memetics category from this article since you learn no more about the article's contents from the category and v.v. Since so many things may be memes we should try to keep the category closely defined in order to remain useful. Hope you're okay with that. The link to meme would be enough I suggest.
