[edit] Color swap

Does any source indicate at what point the World Eaters swapped their original blue and white kit for Khorne-red? After or during the Heresy? --SparqMan 20:49, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

If I remember right, they swapped during the Heresy- by the time of the siege of Terra, they were already wearing red/brass. I vaguely remember reading on of the many various tellings of the Heresy, and I took notice of it, but I couldn't tell you which one it was at the moment.--DarthBinky 21:04, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fan conjecture

Does anyone else find this theory "the reason for Angron switching sides so easily may have been the impending punishment awaiting him from the Emperor for the continued use of cybernetics in his warriors", (while rational) is not actually supported by any official 40k fiction? I'd suggest removing it, as it seems to me to be purely fan speculation.Primarch 01:27, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

I agree. The 2nd Edition Chaos Codex mentions that the World Eaters were censured by the Emperor for using "psycho-surgery to turn (new recruits) into frothing madmen"; but I don't recall seeing any mention that they were about to be punished again.
That said, the whole article needs a pretty hefty rewrite- we don't need an article here that is pretty much just a copy of the Index Astartes article. I've been itching to do a rewrite for each of the nine Legions for a while now, but it's a lot of work....--DarthBinky 01:33, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
I see what you mean and agree. It would be nice if all 18 legions (chaos and loyal) had cohesive structure so that they all followed the same set out and categories more closely and less retold the IA articles. I'd be happy to work to that end on these pages with you.Primarch 05:07, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Well, if you want to help out with the W40k stuff, check out the Wikiproject's page (linked in the beige box at the top here)- we welcome all the help we can get. Also, I recently did rewrites on, among other things, the articles for the four major gods, making them "out of universe" in tone (which they should be, per WP:WAF), as well as formatting them so they're all similar layouts. That's what I'd like to do for the 18 First Foundings. But I'm stuck on what sort of format they should take (aside from gutting most of the "in-universe" history stuff). --DarthBinky 18:22, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
In any case, I've deleted the previous sentence and replaced it with a more canonical take.Primarch 05:21, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Creoth the Crusher

I have never heard this name before. I was under the impression that the last librarian of the World Eaters was killed by Scyrak the Slaughteror (unsure of spelling). Anyone else?

Primarch 06:50, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I'm changing this until I someone can provide a citation for Creoth.Primarch 00:19, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] False Gods reference

I've amended a sentence that refers to Horus' statement that he had taken the World Eaters to a point of no return, to better reflect what he actually said. Another editor added references to chaos that don't strictly apply.Primarch 00:25, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Combat Doctrine

And lastly (for tday at least!) I've expanded this section to include pre heresy doctrine in contrast to post. Primarch 01:26, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
