[edit] Chris Gayle

Why isn't Gayle included in the squad listing? Loganberry (Talk) 23:33, 22 September 2005 (UTC)

For the simple reason that the squad listing was made at the beginning of the season, and no one ever bothered to update it. :) Sam Vimes 06:30, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

Ah; such subtle reasoning! Which, while I'm here, explains the disparity between this list and the one at Worcestershire County Cricket Club; the latter is a listing of everyone who's made a f-c appearance for Worcs in 2005, as opposed to an "official" squad listing. I think Gayle should be listed as West Indies, though, not Jamaica, since we have England and not United Kingdom. I'm going to change that; I hope that's okay. Hm...ok. I kinda liked the different flags, but your logic is sound, so I'll just put up with it and put all West Indians in the counties under the West Indies (there aren't many this year, thankfully...Ottis Gibson and Nixon McLean are the only two, I think). Sam Vimes 14:33, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Well, if it's any compensation I was thinking of adding flags to the group tables in the Cricket at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and there Jamaica etc did appear as national teams. (Said islands' teams could do with their own articles, too, but that will have to wait unless someone else wants to do it.) Loganberry (Talk) 16:20, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Working on it... Sam Vimes 16:22, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
  • grins* Yeah; I just noticed! Question in the Talk there for you, though. Loganberry (Talk) 16:23, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
