WOPI broadcasts an Oldies music format as part of the WKPT Radio Network during the week and its historical Bluegrass and Country music format on the weekends.
In addition to its music programming, WOPI airs Tennessee High Vikings sporting events.

WOPI signed on June 15, 1929, as the first broadcast station in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.[1] Notable former on-air personalities include Tennessee Ernie Ford.
