Woo is an American romantic comedy film released on May 8, 1998. It was directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer, whose other films include The Guru and Party Girl but Woo was the one to gain the most notoriety. The cast included Jada Pinkett Smith in the title role of Woo, a woman who in the movie ruins Tim's life, played by Tommy Davidson. Tupac Shakur was scheduled to appear in the film, but died before taking on a role. LL Cool J instead made a cameo in the part intended for Shakur.
Made on a budget of $13 million, Woo grossed only $8 million. It premiered in 625 theaters across the US, ranking 6th in its first night but falling steadily thereafter. [1]
