Wong Lee (ウォン・リー Won Ri?) is a fictitious character who appears in animation "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" and "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ". He works for Anaheim Electronics Company, which is the equity participant of AEUG. As such, he is one of the supporters of AEUG during their war against the Titans and later, against Axis Zeon forces.
[edit] Character History
In Zeta Gundam, he made his appearance when Argama dropped in at Amman city on the moon's surface. He assaulted Kamille, who was occupied with repair of Haro and was late for the meeting as a punishment for him breaking military rules. He masters kung fu, and counterattacking Kamille was beaten one-sidedly and made to faint. After that he got in Argama, and while he was a civilian, from the position of an equity participant he made orders carpingly to Bright Noa and Quattro Bagina and might have determined strategy, collided with them.
Although he showed a certain amount of activity such as saving the plight of Kamille in the petit mobile suit for mining of his company in the battle near Amman, and going to Gwadan as an AEUG representative in negotiation with Axis, etc., his being avoided by Argama crew is clear. He might be a high-handed person while he might buy and give juice to Shinta and Qum. In addition, he seems to be drawn as a good-natured person in the theater version if compared with the television version since neither there is a scene in which he knocks Camille, nor depiction that he is avoided by the Argama crew is not found. Moreover, it is made that a setup that he and Stephanie Luio are parent and child.
In Gundam ZZ, Wong attempts to hit Judau Ashta for shrugging off his orders to repair the ZZ Gundam immediately, but Judau dodges the attack and kicks Wong in the stomach. A fight nearly ensues, but Bright Noa restrains Wong and Elle Vianno pulls Judau away. Later on, Judau overhears Wong telling Bright that he (Judau) is useless because all he wants to do is find his sister Leina, which causes further friction between the two of them. After the lunar city Granada is damaged from a battle, Wong attempts to pin the blame on Judau to no avail as the latter's crewmates vouch for him.
