Wondrous Place

"Wondrous Place" is a song written by Jeff Lewis and Bill Giant. It was most famously recorded by British Rock 'n' Roll icon Billy Fury who cut several versions of the song during his career. His original release of "Wondrous Place" reached #25 on the UK charts in late 1960. The song gained further recognition 40 years later when Fury's version was used on a UK TV advertisement for Toyota.
Wondrous Place was also released in the USA by Jimmy Jones but the single failed to chart.
In 2008, the song was recorded as a B-side by Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys frontman) and Miles Kane (The Rascals frontman), as part of their The Last Shadow Puppets side project and released on March 14 on their first CD single "The Age Of The Understatement".
