Talk:Wonderboy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- "At least one of its lyrics has been questioned though as to its truthfulness. There is ongoing disagreement in the realm of Tenacious D fans as to whether "the power... to move you" in fact constitutes a superpower."
Ha! And of course there's no source for that... I'd remove it, but it's funny. 82.92.119.11 06:38, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
This article states Wonderboy is the second single while the tenacious d article states it is the first...

[edit] Hydra
I don't think we actually see the Hydra in the video, although it's mentioned in the song at the point where Black starts swinging his sword around. I tried to word this as well as I could, but someone else who achieved a full eight hours of sleep could probably do better.--Agent Aquamarine 12:41, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] True Meaning of the song
Am I the only person who thinks that this song is about KG and JB double banging one chick? Mastercheif 08:23, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Seriously, lay off the ganj. --OMG LAZERS 00:53, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
whats are you talking about, thats the song double team from the same album.
[edit] Powers of Wonderboy?
I'm pretty sure the powers are, infact, powers of Nasty Man. The way the song is phrased kind of implies that the powers are those that make Nasty man comparable to Wonderboy. Additionally, Wonderboy is frequently seen climbing, so it's doubtful he has the power of telekinesis, while Nasty Man is always present at the hill tops when Wonderboy arrives.
[edit] Style parody
If "Tribute" is meant to parody "Stairway to Heaven", then this song could be a style parody of "More Than a Feeling". - 155.143.195.239 10:45, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
doubtful, 155.143.195.239. in fact, i'm forced to ask, have you ever even heard 'more than a feeling'? Alistic (talk) 23:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] First Single?
Both this page and Tribute have the album as the first album released from the album. Can someone please find out and edit the required page. peterismeok 20:11, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lyrics
Aren't those lyrics copyrighted or somethings? Or have you got permission from Tenacious D/Random Recording Company or something? --Kaizer13 23:32, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- WP:LYRICS. I removed them. Aside from being a copyright violation, just quoting the lyrics has no encyclopedic value. The article already describes the song, too. 82.95.254.249 00:39, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] References in "Wonder Boy"
I was always under the impression that "Wonder Boy" referenced the Alan Moore version of the the comic book superhero Young Marvelman/Miracleman, (http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/y/yungmarv.htm) and not on the video game "Wonder Boy in Monster Land".
I suggest an investigation and possible change to the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.55.205.71 (talk) 00:33, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Buckethead Cover

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:POD.jpg
Image:POD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
