Talk:WON2
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have truly had some good times on WON2. It does have its share of cheaters and llamas but overall it is OLD SKOOL. Kinda reminds me of an online gaming version of Sealand, only much larger:) --R.D.H. (Ghost In The Machine) 01:08, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
- I'm another Won2 user, though I don't like counter-strike 1.5. I prefer the other 1% of mods played on it, such as the occasional old dod server, the tfc server, and my favorite, the beta CS servers :). I'm going to adopt this page as my baby and keep it all healthy and clean. First step is to find all the Won2 page links and redirect them here.--Cylik 18:20, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

- Well I started this article, but you are more than welcome to share with me the "babysitting" chores. Especially after the fine edits and additions you've made have shown your wothiness for the task :). Yeah I don't care for CS 1.5 at all. And really wish there were more non-CS servers. Odds runs a very good Sven-Coop server. And sometimes Deagle (who also currently runs the only Won2 master in North America BTW) takes pity on us and runs OZ Deathmatch. Apart from that and the outstanding TFC server you mentioned (Run by my most excellent bro Empyre*HOPE*) there are only half a dozen or so mostly empty, HL DMs :( Still, It's good to see another Won2 denizen!:)--R.D.H. - Fair enough, I bow to your will, master. I never really liked sven coop. There was a brainbread server once though, it seemed pretty active too. I don't know where it went. I also remember there being--and I think it's still around--a natural selection server. My brother liked that one, but I never got into it. There was a firearms server for literally a day... Actually, looking on the list I see one called hl-parpaing. I've never heard of that, but a quick google says it's a mod where two teams build a wall and another tries to tear it down... huh? Guess I might as well check it out.--Cylik 16:08, 11 October 2005 (UTC)

- Heheheh very good my Padawan. :> Yeah there was also a Science & Industry up and running for 5 whole minutes. Have you ever played that? Cool mod, I'm quite fond of it. Unfortunately there are no bots for it (at least not to my or that server's admin's knowledge) so it was empty. You may be able to get away with running a botless server on Steam, but a Botfree server is pretty much a DOA on WON2. hl-parpaing huh? I was WONdering what that was...all in all just another mod in the wall huh ;>--R.D.H. (Ghost In The Machine) 18:48, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

- Yep. Hopefully there's somebody out there willing to cement them in place. Science and Industry eh? I've never heard of that one. I'll have to look at it.--Cylik 19:47, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

- Hi. I am a brand new user to WON2 who only found out about its existence today. I think it's good that I can play CS 1.5 on the original Half-Life system again, pretty neat. I do use Steam but Steam's current 1.6 just doesn't feel as good as the original 1.5 version. Anyway, thanks for taking time to put this Wiki page up, it's quite useful.

I see no neutrality dispute here. I have removed the tag, since it is pointless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.96.54.58 (talk) 18:17, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
