Women for Palestine

Women for Palestine is a Melbourne-based network of Australian women who stand for nonviolence and human rights in the Holy Land.

The purposes for which Women for Palestine Inc is established are as follows:

  1. to increase public awareness of human rights issues affecting the Palestinian people;
  2. to empower women to confidently, assertively and courageously call and act for an end to all forms of human rights abuses in Palestine;
  3. to create an environment which encourages women to work together for positive social change;
  4. to work with women from all cultural backgrounds regardless of their political, philosophical and religious persuasions for the purpose of defending the human rights of the Palestinian people;
  5. to provide support, relief and assistance to Palestinian refugees, victims of war and particularly the children of Palestine;
  6. to cooperate with all democratic organisations and initiatives which promote nonviolence, a just peace and an end to human rights abuses in Palestine.
