Woman of the World / To Make a Man is a 1969 studio album by American country music singer-songwriter, Loretta Lynn.
This was Lynn's second album of 1969, released on Decca Records. The album was named after the two singles spawned from it. The lead single, "Woman of the World (Leave Me World Alone)" went to #1 in 1969 and became Lynn's third #1 of her career (she would have 16 #1s). The second single, "To Make a Man (Feel Like a Man)" was a Loretta Lynn compostion that went to #3 on the Billboard Country Chart in 1969. The album includes a cover of Tammy Wynette's "Stand by Your Man", Lynn's biggest rival at the time. Lynn also recorded other covers for the album, including Merle Haggard's "Today I Started Loving You Again" and Brenda Lee's "Johnny One Time". Lynn continued to write songs for this album, including co-writing songs with the Wilburn Brothers.
All Music Guide gave the album an average rating, saying, "a couple of misfire tracks keep this from being the best of this country singing queen's many fine albums for this label." The website gave the album three out of five stars. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart as well as peaking at #148 on the Billboard 200. By now most of Lynn's albums were charting the Billboard 200.
