Are Women Unite really to small for wikipedia? I suppose if you say so... But just to clarify:

-- Women Unite is not a hobby band -- They tour the world extensively -- I (article creator) am not affiliated to the band in any way. I just went to a concert. -- There is an article on the band at http://www.music.org.za/artist.asp?id=71

Oh, and please link to WP:MUSIC when referring to it?

I remove the delete request for now, since when looking at the notability criteria I see

"Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country[1], reported in notable and verifiable sources."

Which applies. (I am in Norway, not in South Africa). I'll look for media references.

I found a reference. I don't know if it's notable enough (it's in relation to the 100-year celebration of Norway's independence from sweden), but it should confirm beyond reasonable doubt that the tour occured. Here is what it says:

August 2005 MUSIC COLLABORATION : SOUTH AFRO BRAZZ (WOMEN UNITE AND BRAZZ BROS)

Scandinavia & Europe

Women Unite is a South African music, singing, dancing, performing group of eight women using marimba, percussion, vocals in traditional and indigenous music genres.

In 2003 and 2004 Norway funded an exchange project between Women Unite and Brazz Brothers from Norway with concerts and workshops in South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique and Norway. The music is a combination of Women Unite’s South African music and dances with Norwegian folk music-based jazz, fused in a new Marimba Jazz fusion. The project proposes to tour Scandinavian and European music venue and jazz festivals.

Purpose : Strengthen co-operation between South Africa and Norway Target group : General public
