This article would be more helpful if it included information about the time it takes to play a typical game. How many periods are there and how long is each period? What happens if the score is tied at the end of the last period? I have found mention of the game duration on the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations.

[edit] Personal Opinion? / Other

Anyone else think this sentence is personal opinion? Especially since there is no reference.. and therefore should be deleted?

Most women that do play lacrosse would prefer if it went to the same rules as men's lacrosse with full checking.

Also, isn't lacrosse in general called "the fastest sport on two legs (or feet)"?

As a result of these differences, its fans say action is more spread out and faster than in the men's version. The sport is sometimes called 'the fastest sport on two legs'.

1. I agree -- I'd say delete the sentence unless you can find a reference.

2. I've only heard "the fastest sport on two feet" (never "legs"), but not just describing women's lacrosse. The NLL certainly uses that phrase to describe its game. --MrBoo (talk, contribs) 10:41, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

3. I completely agree that the statement "most women would prefer to play under the men's rules..." is personal opinion, not supported by facts. Anecdotally, I would say it is also wrong. But it does not belong in the article in my opinion. I dropped a note on the user's page who inserted that statement. Perhaps they will provide a cogent argument as to why the statement should remain. User:Mpleahy 19:55, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

4. Not hearing from the user who inserted the sentence, I have taken it out in an edit. I am a newbie, and not sure if this is proper Wiki etiquette, but it pretty clearly was personal opinion and not neutrual. User:Mpleahy 04:00 3 October 2006 (UTC)
