Wolter Robert, Baron van Hoevell

Wolter Robert, Baron van Hoëvell (July 15, 1812 - February 10, 1879) was a Dutch statesman and vicar.
Hoëvell was born in Deventer.
He is remembered for abolishing the Dutch colonial system based on the exploits of the Dutch East Indies, and putting them under parliamentary control.
Hoëvell died in The Hague.
