Matthew Overby is a member of the North Carolina Federation of Teenage Republicans (NCTARS) Ad Hoc Committee, a committee of the NCGOP. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Wake County Teenage Republicans (WCTARS), a member of the Wake County Republican Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Millbrook High School Teenage Republicans (MHSTARS), and the Block Captian of the Spyglass Republican Party. He is the former Chairman of Teenagers for Vernon Robinson, former Chairman of Teenagers for J. H. Ross in 2006, former Chairman of the North Carolina Junior Republican Federation (NCJRF), former Director of Voter Registration for the North Carolina Teengage Republicans (NCTARS), former Vice Chairman of the Wake County Teenage Republicans and a former At-Large Member to the Executive Board of the Wake County Teenage Republicans. He is a member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (VRWC) and the Jane Goodall Institute.

Matthew Overby (16) was born on December 31, 1990 to Linwood and Debbie Overby. He has a brother named Christopher (28) and a sister named Caroline (23). Matthew is a Roman Catholic and a parishioner at Saint Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church. He attended North Ridge Elementary, West Millbrook Middle, and is currently a Sophomore at Millbrook High School.
