Talk:Wolves of the Calla
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is there anything more that needs to be done to expand this article? What was wrong with the tone? El Pollo Diablo | Talk 13:33, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
- The article doesn't read like an encyclopedia entry. I believe there's too much about the plot. I'd like to see an ISBN number, a list of characters, and an explanation of context. In particular, an explain of the terminology. Since I don't know anything about the subject matter, I can't do much, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you need some help. -D. - The characters and terminology is all covered in The Dark Tower (series), and much more thoroughly than could be here. --Laura Scudder | Talk 17:05, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Influences
I tagged the influences section for references and possible original research. If anyone can provide references for the claims in this section, please do so and then remove the tags. I did a quick google and couldn't seem to come up with anything. Jay†Litman 17:28, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
i deleted a good portion of this section b/c it contained obvious original research claims. i don't know now whether the tag should be removed or not. also, the section is now quite short, so if anyone can legitimately add to it, please do so. Calric03 16:54, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
All the influences listed are found in the various intros to the softcover editions. As far as expanding the section, why not lsiting the exact manors in which these influences are nodded at; such as Calla Bryn Sturgis for John Sturges, the Sergio Leon poster Jake sees on a Brooklyn street in Waste Lands, etc.Artemisstrong 03:18, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Wolvescalla.jpg
Image:Wolvescalla.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
