[edit] History

WOJL signed on the air in July of 1980 as country WLSA.

"105 Country" was bought by Piedmont Communications on 26 May 2004 and within 36 hours, WLSA had switched from country to oldies as "Oldies 105". At the same time, they switched their call sign to WOJL. WOJL is now broadcast in HD

On 2 July 2005, the format was switched again, this time to Adult Hits under the branding "Sam FM". WOJL continues to use the Dial Global satellite "Sam" service today.
