This is a special episode we recored specifically dealing w/ the whole Essjay/Ryan Jordan situation. We recorded this before Jimbo's second comment, so it might be a little dated but still a good listen.

Well done
I'd just like to say well done for making the prehistoric settlement of the British Isles article superb, you've added a whole lot of archaeological evidence and refined and improved the genetics section. --Globe01 18:08, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello back!
Hey, I was glad to see your message. I have taken the political compass before, but I did it again today and came out with scores of Economic Left/Right: -4.38 and Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.49. I am interested in Anarchism, but I view it as rather idealistic, and unlikely. I am more attracted to decentralised forms of Social Democracy, left-wing forms of liberalism and left-moderate Green Politics. That's not to say I don't agree with lots of anarchism, I just find it a little too radical for my tastes. --CTerry 17:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
WP:3RR
Undo your last reversion at White people article. It has violated WP:3RR rule. Failure to comply may result in a block Lukas19 20:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
The duration of the block is 24 hours. Here are the reverts in question. Nishkid64 21:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
This is bollocks. What violation? This is bollocks. Did you actually check my edits? I don't think so, because if you had read them then you would se that I made three reverts and a different edit. Lukas19's racist POV pushing seems to be supported by the majority of admins here on Wikipedia. Might as well change it to Racistbast6ardsopedia as far as I can see. Alun 06:00, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yes I did. You were reported at WP:AN/3RR, and I saw 3 identical reverts were made, and the last revert included the information from the previous reverts. Also, your response to the 3RR block is not helping your case. I suggest you take a break and calm down instead of flipping out. Nishkid64 14:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, whatever helps your conscience. And what's with the threats? If I disagree with your decision you're going to extend my block, it that your threat? "your response to the 3RR block is not helping your case", I don't think there is a "case", it's summary justice Wikipedia style, so no case there. But if I complain I get threatened? I mean come on, bit heavy handed isn't it? Alun 18:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi
Hi Alun, as you know I empathize greatly with your concerns. One thing I feel helps is to keep the articles as tightly focused as possible. In my opinion, if these articles must exist they should simply be a documentation of all the ways that terms like black and white have been used; they should not be dissertations defending the scientific validity of any particular definition. Now if someone does use terms like black or white to describe a certain genetic or biogegraphic profile it’s reasonable to mention that because that’s perhaps the latest way these labels are being reconstructed. But the problem is people use original research to imply that because a researcher did a study on European DNA, said research is relevant to the white people article, even though that researcher may never have even used the term “white” and may not even equate whiteness with exclusively European ancestry. I know Lukas19 tried to add a lot of information about a sub-Saharan African genetic cluster to the black people article which I repeatedly removed for the simple reason that unless and until the scientist he quotes actually uses the term “black” when describing his research, it’s off topic. In fact even if a geneticist does believe in a white race or a black race, he or she is unlikely to use such terminology in a genetic context because it’s politically incorrect, and by not using the terms, he is not defining these categories, and thus is not relevant to articles that document the history of these labels. This, in theory, should put race advocates at a huge disadvantage on wikipedia because they can’t get any direct quotes from any academic sources advocating the existence of a white or black genetics. Wikipedia already has articles debating the validity of race; the black and white articles should be exclusively for describing the history of labeling in a neutral way (without pushing the POV that there’s a scientifically correct way to label human beings). I know it’s an uphill battle trying to get wikipedia to appreciate our concerns, but if we can at least keep articles tightly focused and thus free of original research (i.e. general research synthesized to make specific arguments that the researchers themselves never made) we move in the right direction. Good luck! Iseebias 21:44, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello again Alun
- To be honest, I really don't care whether you think I'm a "decent" chap or not Alun, but I know I am a respectable person and perhaps I should clarify matters here. I am by no means "just like Lukas19 and Eoganan", whatever is meant by that statement and you should take note that I stated how some of these users were raised, not you specifically. I do not know for sure whether you are against ethnic diversity and maintenance of ethnic identities beyond political/national boundaries or not (including the role of descent and family upbringing in such), but I know that you are anti-racist, as I myself am. I would assume you are however also to be anti-"race" in general and in turn also unfortunately anti-diversity in human genetic and cultural variation. I have "taken a long hard look" at European history for many years now as it has been a passion and area of focus/study of mine just as much as European anthropology has been (as they are both related areas). I in fact also know exactly what side you would have been on during the Second World War, and that is on the same side that pointed a nuclear arsenal against the Western world during the nearly 50 years after the conflict. You are a communist, an anarchist and self-admit to being a far left-wing extremist (even though I disagree with such opinons, that is your choice and that is OK). I am however not a far-right extremist, see myself as a political moderate and would have fought on the same side as my grandfather did during the Second World War (i.e. the Allies). Unlike you however, during the Cold War I would have supported the side of Western European culture and society, capitalism, democracy and freedom. Perhaps it is you who needs to re-evaluate your socio-political allegiances, lol (take it easy, only kidding here). Anyways Alun, it is still good to see you are considering my arguments and facts, and I hope all is well on Wikipedia (don't let anonymous vandals and ignorant users stop you from pursuing neutral POV and factual accuracy !) and in life in general. Ciao, Epf 20:41, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

P.S. - I just posted this here b/c I didn't know if you read it on my talk page. Also I suggest you distinguish between the terms racist and racialist when discussing with various uers on here to help avoid debates from getting too out of hand. Just because someone defends the existence of "race", obviously does not make them a racist (if that were the case, then the majority of people in the world would be considered "racist", lol). Anyways, keep up the good edits, ciao, Epf 00:58, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok Alun, you are not a communist in the Soviet/Cold War sense. I have read further into the bizarre ideals of anarchism and understand the distinction between the two. However, I just don't understand why you are getting so upset here and accusing me of being a far-right fascist of some sort. I only labelled you as a left-wing extremist because you admit yourself as such. Let's try to avoid politics in further discussions anyway because I find that such viewpoints only hinder the facts and lead to personal attacks. My political views are quite ambiguous to say the least, and as I have said before, I would consider myself a moderate who strays to either side depending on each particular situation (but never to an extreme end of the spectrum). My main goal is to promote multi-culturalism as well as ethnic and cultural preservation beyond national or political boundaries/identities (therefore relying significantly on the importance of one's descent/ethnic origin.) I don't feel as if I offended you in anyway, so I think we should move beyond this. I will be using Wikipedia more regularly by the end of April since it is nearly the end of the current term, so you'll be hearing more from me. Ciao, Epf 23:01, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
