WMNJ is non-commercial, educational FM and internet radio station licensed by the FCC to operate on 88.9 Mhz, serving the New Jersey communities of Madison, Morristown, Livingston and Chatam. The station is owned and operated by Drew University and can be heard on-line at www.drew.edu/wmnj. WMNJ began as an AM campus carrier station under the call letters WERD (or Drew backwards.) In 2007, the station changed its promotional identity to "The Forest" under the direction of consultant Pete Tauriello.
