WMLM (1520 AM) is an AM radio station located in St. Louis, Michigan, broadcasting ABC Radio's satellite-delivered Real Country format, a hybrid of classic and current country hits. The station began broadcasting in 1977 as a daytime-only station and added nighttime operations in 1982. In addition to its country-music format, WMLM provides farm and agricultural news updates and is an affiliate of the Michigan Farm Radio Network.
It was announced in February 2008 that owner Greg Siefker was selling WMLM to Krol Communications, owners of WJSZ-FM in Ashley, Michigan, for $205,000. Speaking to the Mount Pleasant Morning Sun, Siefker cited exhaustion and recent health issues as a reason for selling his station, although he was to stay on as a consultant. No change in WMLM's country format is expected in the immediate future.
