[edit] Autobiographical articles

Hello! I would strongly suggest that you read Wikipedia:Autobiography in order to familiarise yourself with the nature of biographical articles on Wikipedia. You should also look at WP:BIO for non-autobiographical efforts. Your article "bill flanagan" doesn't appear to be a notable biography according to these criteria, so I will {{prod}} it in order to give you some time to improve it. Articles that are proposed for deletion are listed for five days and deleted unless they have been improved. Regards,  (aeropagitica)  18:13, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

The article you created at "bill flanagan" was listed for deletion as An article about a real person that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject, criterion 7 in the criteria for speedy deletion, Articles section. Since it appears to be about you I've moved it to your user space instead, which was probably what you intended in the first place (a common mistake among newcomers!).

If you really did mean to create an article about yourself please be aware that this is often considered a bad idea, even if you do meet the guidelines for inclusion of biographies.

I know Wikipedia can be confusing for new editors, so you are welcome to ask for help at the help desk or on my talk page. Just zis Guy you know? 18:18, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Charles Fehrenbach (priest)

A tag has been placed on Charles Fehrenbach (priest) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -Mastrchf91- 04:37, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
