WMEB is a non-commercial American radio station owned and operated by the University of Maine.

WMEB became an official radio station in January 1964 when the FCC licensed the station to operate on the frequency of 91.9 mHz FM, and its callsign became WMEB-FM.

Originally broadcasting between 4pm and 10pm, WMEB was a "mix of music, news, and informational programming." The station remained with this format throughout most of the 1960s.

In the 1970s, the station became more progressive rock-based in its format as more and more artists were releasing on vinyl records.

There was still a place for news and public service announcements, but by the 1980s, WMEB had joined many other college radio stations in helping little-known bands make it onto the charts.

University of Maine sports can be heard over the WMEB airwaves. Currently, WMEB broadcasts every UMaine home football, men's hockey, basketball, and baseball game. Along with their coverage of UMaine sports WMEB offers a variety of sports programming. Three and Out is a sports talk show hosted by John Madore, Sean Hladick, and Steve K. Moran. It can be heard every Sunday from 8-10AM and Tuesday from 7-9AM. The Weekend Sports Jam is a similar format that can be heard every Saturday from 12-2PM.
