WMDR 1340 AM is an American AM radio station licensed to Augusta, Maine. It is owned by Light of Light Ministries and has a Christian music format geared towards children during the day and teens/young adults at night.

[edit] History

The 1340 dial position was previously known as WFAU swapping call letters and formats with AM 1280 WFAU, with the nostalgia format moving to 1280 and religious programming moving to 1340 (AM 1280 has since changed to sports/talk). In the early 2000s WMDR changed formats to a children's format, changing to Southern Gospel in late 2005, with the children's format moving to WMDR (FM). In March of 2007 AM1340 once again flipped formats with its FM counterpart, inheriting the Contemporary Christian format.
