The WLVA call sign has a prior history in Lynchburg. In 1993-94, WLVA was owned by Madison Broadcasting and featured a format of the greatest hits of the past 5 decades, with music provided by the Stardust Network satellite.
At one time WLVA also was a television station with the same call letters in Lynchburg. The television station was later sold to another party.
