WLTO, also known as HOT102, is a Rhythmic Top 40 outlet serving the Lexington radio market. It is owned by Cumulus Media.

[edit] History

WLTO originally signed on the air in 1988 as a Urban Contemporary outlet with the call letters WCKU (U102), but by the early 1994 they would flip to Classic Rock as WLRO, only to switch directions to oldies as WLTO. In 2001, the station flipped to classic country as "US 102." The WLTO calls remained on the station.

But that would all change in August 2004 when it they flipped to mainstream Top 40, but would later evolved into a Rhythmic Top 40 direction. Although WLTO uses the slogan "All The Hits," its playlist is heavily focused on broad-based Rhythmic Contemporary hits. Their major competition is urban contemporary WBTF and Top 40 Mainstream WLKT. It is the home to Kidd Kraddic In the Morning.
