WLQP-LP is a low-power television station in Lima, Ohio, serving the Lima market as an ABC affiliate on Channel 18. WLQP-LP was a full-time repeater of sister-station WOHL-CA, but became a UPN affiliate in 1999.
On September 1, 2006, WLQP became an affiliate of ABC. The CW affiliation went to rival station WLIO. Along with the new affiliation, WLQP added newscasts at 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
WLQP also carries America One programming on a secondary basis, an affiliation they share with co-owned CBS affiliate WLMO-LP.
WLQP has applied to the FCC to perform a flash-cut of its signal to digital.
[edit] Trivia
WLQP's logo looks similar to the logo used by Medford, Oregon's KDRV, which is also an ABC affiliate. However, neither station is related to each other.
