WLFV (93.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a hybrid country music format, mixing country with Southern rock. Licensed to Ettrick, Virginia, USA, it serves the Richmond area. The station is currently owned by Main Line Broadcasting.
WJZV/93.1 FM signed on in September 2000 as a smooth jazz station, replacing the recently-flipped WSMJ (which became country WJRV). Originally owned by Richmond Broadcasting, the station was sold to Main Line Broadcasting in August 2005. In October 2005, the station flipped to its current "country that rocks" format under program director Jeff Beck, who had earlier put Fredericksburg's WGRX on the air as "Thunder Country" using the same mix of country and Southern rock. The original on air line up had Mike Levay in mornings (moving over from sister station WBBT), Tara Hunter in mid-days (a former co-worker of Beck's at WRXL) Beck in afternoon drive and "K2" in the evenings. In 2007, Hunter (who was also the cluster's production director) left the station to become the afternoon drive personality at country competitor WKHK. Levay took over her mid-day and production director duties, the syndicated "Rick & Bubba" show moved into mornings, and "K2" took over afternoon drive. Meanwhile Beck moved across the hall to do mornings at sister station WWLB
