WLEN (103.9 FM) is a radio station in Adrian, Michigan, broadcasting a full-service adult contemporary format with a heavy emphasis on local news, weather and sports.
The station began broadcasting in 1965 and is one of the few remaining small-market radio stations which is still fully locally programmed and locally staffed around the clock, except for a few specialty weekend shows. WLEN's music format consisted of a blend of AC and country music for much of its history, but has shifted in recent years to focus exclusively on AC hits, as Adrian has a 24-hour country music station in WQTE 95.3 FM. The station also features a popular Tejano music show on Sunday afternoons, hosted by Pal Guerrero.
Other WLEN features include national (from CNN Radio) and local newscasts, "Classified" (a Tradio-style feature), "Partyline - Now!" (a Saturday-morning phone-in talk show), and weekly specialty features focusing on neighboring communities such as Tecumseh, Onsted, Blissfield, Hudson, the Irish Hills area, and Deerfield. 1
