[edit] Rescue Squad
The article you wrote has been nominated for deletion. Have you got any press clippings from President Bush's visit in 1990 which you can quote and give as sources. The article needs some press clippings or mentions of the rescue squad in third party sources to make it 'notable' according to Wikipedia guidelines. Nick mallory 07:26, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad article that you wrote is a clear-cut copy of that rescue squad's official website, http://www.bccrs.org, and thus constitutes a copyright violation. Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia, as it is an egregious violation of Wikipedia policy. Thank you very much. --Hnsampat 07:08, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] BCCRS Attribution and Source Material
As a member of the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad (BCCRS), I canvassed the Chief Officer and the Public Affairs Officer and cleared the content of the article prior to posting the information on Wikipedia. The content and format of the information was created and written by the BCCRS which owns the copyright to such material. I certainly do not appreciate the heavy-handed tone Hnsampat conveys in his/her message.
As to the press clippings of Bush's visit, I could research that and provide the necessary information. To whom should I send that information or does that need to be incorporated within the article body? Also, do the actions of a nonprofit, public service organization have to be covered by a media source before its accomplishments meet the notable statndards of Wikipedia? Thank you for your assistance. Wilder Leavitt 06:41, 12 June 2007 (UTC).
