WLAJ-DT 53-2 CW5 is The CW affiliate for the Lansing, Michigan television market. It is owned by Freedom Communications, originally part of the WB 100+ Station Group. Freedom Communications also owns WLAJ, Lansing's ABC affiliate.
WLAJ DT 53-2 as its known on station ID's is affiliated with The CW . It also became available on WLAJ's digital. Former UPN affiliate WHTV began carrying MyNetwork TV at the same time, and dropped the WBL moniker when the CW was formed. WLAJ-DT2 also airs a newscast produced by WLAJ, ABC3 News at 10 on Lansing's CW5.
WLAJ-DT2 also produces a late night talk show, Text Me TV which also airs on sister station and CW affiliate WWMT-DT2.
When WLAJ-DT2 was a cable only station, it branded itself under the fictitious call letters WBL and used its cable channel for branding
