[edit] Welcome message

Welcome!

Hello, Wj32, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Jaranda wat's sup 02:03, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Oh no. The "experiment" message.

Thank you for experimenting with the page Vagina on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Lord Kinbote 04:52, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My response to the previous "experiment"

It was not an experiment. Look, I saw the vandalism. I tried to revert it by using the navigation popups. I even checked the history before reverting. But for some reason, the other person had already reverted while I was doing the reverting. Then Wikipedia decided to revert back to the vandalised version. Don't blame me.

--wj32 08:07, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Test templates

Can you please remember to make the test vandal templates increase as a vandal "gets worse"? For example, if they've already been given test2, test3 usually follows. I think it would just make it easier for other RC patrollers following the vandal's edits. cheers. SMC 11:09, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

ok.

[edit] So You Hate Linux...?

Then add yourself to this:

[[Category:Wikipedians who hate Linux|{{subst:PAGENAME}}]]

Also, could you help out with Wikipedians who hate Internet Explorer. You know, a little promotion, maybe some new logos and a userbox or two...

Anyway, any response to this would be nice. Thanx! -KingpinE7

Wikipedians who hate Linux is my joke project. I actually have great respect for Linux and the Linux community as a whole, though I do use Windows exclusivly (for professional reasons). But, fine, you don't like my joke. Could you still help with the Anti-IE page? It could really do with better logos and some userboxes. Even if you don't know how to make them, I'm sure you know somebody who can and who would show some interest in this particular project. Once again, thanx -KingpinE7
  • Yeah, I'd like it if you would respond to that. Also, they've put Wikipedians who hate Internet Explorer on the Categories for Deletion list. Please help me contest!

[edit] Minotaur and Labyrinth

I've asked an admin to protect these pages, so at least anons can't edit them. The chicken thing seems to have originated from the Power Rangers series, so I'm assuming it's a bunch of AOL kiddies who have nothing better to do doing this. On a completely unrelated note, nice fake message warning. For a second there I thought I was being spammed... ||| antiuser (talk) (contribs) 09:27, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Gurch blocked the vandal IPs, so at least for now I think it'll stop. ||| antiuser (talk) (contribs) 09:31, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Drunk Dialing

Well, I read all the guidelines, and I didn't violate a single one. I am not affiliated with that website, and it is relevant, it isn’t spam, it isn’t self-promotion, and it does not constitute a link directory. Perhaps we are not reading the same documents. I will wait for your response out of courtesy before I revert you edit back. 69.167.102.181
Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Promotional articles about yourself, your friends, your company or products; or articles written as part of a marketing or promotional campaign, may be deleted in accordance with our deletion policies. For more information, see Wikipedia:Spam.
  • Do you think this applies to this specific case?
  • I'm not marketing the site, promoting it's content, nor am I affiliated with it.

Well, whatever, I guess it doesn't even matter. I'm making a big deal about nothing. 69.167.102.181

Hey, thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I’m kind of over the whole situation. I’ll read the link later. I don’t know why I got so worked up, and am sorry if I sounded hostile, I think I was just tired.

Look forward to seeing you around wikipedia, 69.167.102.181

P.S. One more thing, I would like some opinions whether or not that site constitutes an Internet phenomena or not. You have taught me to ask prior to editing any article, thus I will wait for your response, along with a few others...

[edit] Er, Sorry About The Tagging

I was going to revert the vandalism in Sawing a woman in half while I was talking with someone and for some reason I subconsciously put the bio tag on. Oo Not sure why I did, but sorry about the confusion! -WarthogDemon 04:22, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Confusion??? there was none... --wj32 04:25, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Good. Just wanted to say sorry about that though. I try to improve, not make mistakes. >_>; -WarthogDemon 04:28, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My edits to Wikipedia:Introduction

It seems I reverted only one edit when there were three edits that should've been reverted, or I probably could've just cleared the test section and replaced the "please leave this line alone" comment. Thanks for pointing it out. Minkus 22:09, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] revert

It seems you have reverted my edit in the New Zealand article (Geography/Climate). Were you meant to do this or was it a mistake? - Cheers

I'm sorry about that... it was a mistake (it's gonna happen sooner or later to a RC patroller). I think I was meant to revert the vandalism of someone else, but I reverted your edit... And by the way, please sign your comments with four tildes. Again, sorry about that. --wj32 talk | contribs 06:34, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Correction: Gadfium did that revert to your edit. Talk to him on his talk page. I think you were looking at the wrong IP address :) --wj32 talk | contribs 06:39, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Constellation Entertainment

I see you recently added a prod2 tag to this article to verify you reviewed the requested deletion. Please note that this template should only be used on articles that are propososed for deletion with WP:PROD. If you don't agree with a speedy deletion because it doesn't fit any reasons provided in WP:CSD, the template can be removed, it doesn't need to verified. Thanks for the effort, though- Mgm|(talk) 11:28, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Oh... I saw someone else add it to a speedy deletion tagged page so I thought... --wj32 talk | contribs 21:54, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reporting

Replied on my talk page. Forgive me if I incorrectly reported him. Probaby should've just asked an admin it that would qualify first. -WarthogDemon 05:56, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My Page

Hey Wj32, sigh my page was deleted again. I don't even know if my last edits were shown before another admin took it down thinking it was spam. If you can look into it, I would appreciate it. Pavelushakov

G1 "re: Patent nonsense and gibberish, an unsalvageably incoherent page with no meaningful content. This does not include: poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, vandalism, fictional material, material not in English, badly translated material, implausible theories, or hoaxes of any sort; some of these, however, may be deleted as vandalism in blatant cases."

[edit] User:72.76.14.66

Isn't your warning to 72.76.14.66 a bit harsh? --wj32 talk | contribs 10:01, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Intentionally replacing a page with a vandalised version and then tagging it for speedy deletion is in my eyes pure vandalism. Also, im worried that an admin might not check the history of the page, and delete it without second though. I think a vand4im is the only fitting response for this kind of vandalism. But please, tell me if im wrong with my thoughts here :)
Oh I see. Obviously they're an experienced vandal! ;) --wj32 talk | contribs 10:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Euthanasia

I just reverted your revert, but thats because it also contained vandalism(Ping pong between two vandalism versions). I manually edited the page, should be vandalism free now. --Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 10:24, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:AIV notifications to vandals

Thanks for helping revert vandalism and reporting the vandals to WP:AIV. One thing I noticed that is that you are leaving a message to the vandals that you are reporting them. This step isn't really necessary and can actually cause more harm than good as the vandals will either go faster on their vandalism spree before they can be blocked or start, unfortunately, insulting you for reporting them. It's better to just report the vandal to WP:AIV and not tell them about it. They will understand once they get blocked. =) -- Gogo Dodo 06:14, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Oh I see. Thanks for the advice, it'll save me time! --wj32 t/c 06:17, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Introducing Kansai Goma:

I am only new to Wikipedia, so if I need some help fixing articles, can you help me?

P.S: What part of Australia do you live, and are you male or female?

--Kansai Goma 06:47, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Sure, you can ask any questions you want! I live in Sydney, and I'm male. Read my userboxes for more information. I'm a student, so I might not reply immediately though. --wj32 t/c 06:49, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Except there's one question I'd like to ask: Why did you choose to ask me and not some other Australian Wikipedian? --wj32 t/c 06:57, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Questions

The reason that I chose to ask you, was because you seem to be a good, decent wikipedian, and I was curious.

BTW, what part of Sydney do you live? Also, what hobbies do you like. I heard that it is streotypical for Australian males to like surfing. Is that true, do you like surfing?

Regards, --Kansai Goma 09:48, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Inner West. Can't tell you more than that. You don't sound like you live in Australia, so why do you want to know where I live (sorry if I sound too suspicious)? No, I don't like surfing. I'm more of a computer geek (as you can see from all my userboxes). --wj32 t/c 09:59, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
And also, start editing! I see you've done nothing but talk to me (and talking to me isn't exactly a good way to spend your time). --wj32 t/c 10:00, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Sorry if I sound suspicous (I don't mean to be!), I have a friend that lives at Cronulla. (I am from Amsterdam, The Netherlands), I am planning a trip to Australia sometime next year. Talking to you is much better than talking to no-one! I like computers also, what games do you like?

--Kansai Goma 10:10, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

I play Nexuiz, Savage: The Battle for Newerth, and True Combat: Elite. Aside from those I like trying to speedrun Half-Life 2. --wj32 t/c 10:14, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] More Questions:

Do you like eating canned fish?

--Kansai Goma 22:23, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Hah... no --wj32 t/c 05:57, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] More Questions 2:

What other hobbies do you have beside computers?

--Kansai Goma 07:04, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Nothing. And why did you vandalise User:NewEnglandYankee's userpage? --wj32 t/c 05:36, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

next time you want something from me- fuck off. You can't even help me a small bit.

[edit] Kansai Goma (talk · contribs)

I came across this editor who seems to be trying to apply for adminship after only about twenty edits and none in main space and noticed something suspicious about him; I came to you as you seem to be the user that this account has had the most contact with.

First Kansai Goma opened with you a discussion asking where you lived in Sydney, you stating you lived in the inner west while he claimed to be from Amsterdam. After this discussion you reverted an edit on the talk page of User:NewEnglandYankee by an Australian ip who had vandalised the page [1] and then a day later with the same edit summary and edit Kansai reverted you.

Not long after that the account blanked this SSP page directly relating to the page St George Christian School‎ which is the page the Optus IP was attacking. Going off all of this it seems to me that this account is an Australian account that is a sock of Okayama (talk · contribs) that was trying to get on your good side and is here for disruption. Thoughts? –– Lid(Talk) 06:27, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
