[edit] !

A recent edit of yours appears to contain spam, a personal attack, or other inappropriate commentary. Please write edit summaries that accurately reflect the changes you made to the article. ‣tregoweth (talk) 05:01, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Ok. Wasn't trying to cause trouble on the Columbia-Tristar TV article, it's just that "Boxes of Boredom" is a common nickname for the logo pictured. Sorry if I offended anyone. :( WizardDuck 05:19, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
    • No problem; just keep in mind that nicknames used by logo fans may not be widely known or relevant to an article. Also, your edit summaries tend to be...a bit exuberant, and don't always describe your edits. :) ‣tregoweth (talk) 05:24, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Closed captioning logo (the one with a "tail")

Using the generic "[CC]" logo is more appropriate in the closed captioning article; the "TV speech bubble" closed-captioning logo is used exclusively by the National Captioning Institute, and is trademarked by them. (See also Talk:Closed captioning#Use of NCI logo.) —tregoweth (talk) 17:54, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Vlcsnap-12163839.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Vlcsnap-12163839.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:10, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I don't care if it gets deleted or not. It was a misguided attempt to help. Go ahead, take it down. WizardDuck 02:54, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm deleting it myself:

[edit] Copyright problems with Image:Vlcsnap-12163839.png

An image that you uploaded, Image:Vlcsnap-12163839.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Homestar

A tag has been placed on Template:Homestar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 21:21, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] CBS Sports logo font: An answer...maybe

Remember when you were asking what font was used for the CBS Sports logo? Well, I just went to MyFonts.com, tested it by using the version with the yellow background, and the one that matched most closely was one called Osiris. WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 20:53, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
