[edit] Noteable?
Are they notable for anything else other than MapleStory? Enochlau 01:19, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
- Doubt it. To navigate their company website, you must understand Kanji. Doesn't necessarily mean they are non-notable in that part of the world, of course. But according to [1], MapleStory is pretty much it. You want to change this into a redirect? squell 03:26, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Hmm, I guess the situation is that there's info about the company itself, but it's in a foreign language... it's tempting to change it to a redirect, but i'd leave as a stub; the topic of "Wizet" is encyclopedic. Enochlau 04:26, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Look, even though I must smirk about the bit which says that Wizet employees get GM status which allows them to "show off their items/skills", Wikipedia is not a place to discuss all kinds of trivial things of what is a comparatively small company, using a POV. It's also non-verifiable - no sources given. And if it's taken from a Wizet company site, we can't put it in here because it would be a copy-vio. squell 15:55, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
- As you may see, there are millions of topics relating to "how to become a GM" a little background information is allowed and how the company works. Of course, there was an interview conducted on some fan site a while ago, meaning the represenative told "generally" of how they worked. No details though, some are from the website, which is public. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.22.78.77 (talk • contribs)
And, as far as I can see, only in korean. Do you have a link to the interview? In any case, I get the impression Wizet is basically an SME that is mainly notable because they've created a popular game. Information on their life insurance policy doesn't seem relevant. The amount of revenue they make off the game, no. of employee's, and their professionality does. squell 14:20, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- Indeed, I am able to read Korean. Wizet recently was hiring a Graphics Designer on a Korean jobs website. The website provided information on Wizet, including employee count and other facts that I have posted on wikipedia.

Well 68.78.72.1, I'm looking at the talk page — but, I see no reason why you re-instated the previous version of the article. Simply reverting is edit warring and it is against good Wikipedia practice. Also, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an indiscriminate collection of information; and you're not arguing my points about what you think should be included in the article. I'm going to list this article in Wikipedia:Third opinion. squell 01:49, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
The current edit of the article Wizet is full of POV information and unnecessary information about a non-notable company. I will go with Squell's edit here. Olorin28 02:36, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Third Opinion
I have read the talk page and examined all revisions of the article back to the beginning, and my finding is that the vast majority of material submitted for inclusion in this article has been:
- unverifiable hearsay
- personal opinion and slander (e.g. "the GMs are apes")
- job offers from the company
- irrelevant trivia (e.g. what type of insurance employees are offered, or a position that "has been filled")
- speculation (e.g. "will go international")
or
- marketing propaganda
With all of that material deleted, which it certainly should be, there is not enough worthwhile information about this company to justify keeping the article at all, even as a stub. A company does not become notable, and therefore worthy of an encyclopedia entry, by crossing some threshhold of size; it becomes noteworthy based on what it is or does. It should be unique, not just another company among similar companies. This company might deserve a one-sentence comment in an article on Korean computer companies, stating verifiable NPOV facts about it. My "third opinion" is that this article should be submitted to AfD immediately. I leave it to the participants in the dispute to do so. I will delete the request for a third opinion. - I don't really care if this article is a short stub or a redirect, but I do think either of the two is appropriate, and it doesn't feel right to submit an article to AfD which I would vote "Redirect" on. In any case, it's clear from your and Olorin28's opinion that an elaborate article on Wizet is inappropriate. — squell 08:53, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect to itself?
MapleStory has a link to Wizet which simply redirects to itself. Let's at least give some information on Wizet? That'd be really cool :)
[edit] Timelines
I've deleted the timelines from the article as I feel that they are unencyclopedic. This is an article about Wizet, not MapleStory. Why include information in the Wizet article about MapleStory if that information isn't even in the MapleStory article? Unnecessary and unencyclopedic. Kalani [talk] 04:51, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup
I've done some cleanup for the Wizet article, please tell me if there's anything that needs to be done on my side, or just go ahead and do it yourself
[edit] WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WIZET PICTURE I POSTED?!?
Some1 Deleted The Wizet Logo On The Article, Can Somebody Put The Picture Back, Since MapleStory Global Removed The Wizet Logo And Replaced It With The Nexon Logo In Version 0.31 Frank0115932 00:50, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
