The hunter is an extra-terrestrial who hunts humans for sport to keep as trophies by stalking and tracking them down. It chooses to hunt in a mountain town with forrests somewhere in the mid/west USA. The time is late 70's or early 80's. It uses living creatures to throw at people it hides and throws these things which resemble starfish. They land on a human preferably and hook on with teeth and their limb things slide into the skin and slurp out all the blood and immobolize the victim. Then a yellow ooze comes out while the starfish is still taking in the blood.
